Nvidia plans to build a quantum computing research center in Boston.
The Nvidia Accelerated Quantum Research Center (NVAQC) will integrate quantum hardware with Nvidia’s GB200 NVL72 rack-scale systems in what it calls ‘accelerated quantum supercomputing.’
The research center will use systems from companies including Quantinuum, Quantum Machines, and QuEra Computing, as well as work with the Harvard Quantum Initiative in Science and Engineering (HQI) and the Engineering Quantum Systems (EQuS) group at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Researchers from the EQuS group, a member of the MIT Center for Quantum Engineering, will use NVAQC to develop techniques such as quantum error correction.
